Phyllis Bosworth is Managing Director of Cohen & Company, Inc. Real Estate. Since joining the firm in 1993, Ms. Bosworth has cultivated a strong clientele and has successfully completed numerous transactions throughout the United States.
Ms. Bosworth has experience in both large and small transactions and in multiple markets across the United States. This includes the successful purchase by Sterling Equities of 3,000 apartments located in Texas. Sterling Equities, real estate investor and owner of the New York Mets, subsequently engaged her as exclusive broker in the sale of a retail power center in Atlanta, GA.
During 2007, she sold two Publix-anchored centers in Florida, a Super Wal-Mart in Kentucky, and a power center in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Ms. Bosworth recently brokered the sale of a Brooklyn-based warehouse property that was originally built as an armaments factory during the Civil War and purchased for the construction of a multi-dwelling residential structure. The assignment required Ms. Bosworth to manage a complex and extensive rezoning process. The transaction was covered by the New York Times.
Before pursuing a career in real estate, Ms. Bosworth was a CBS News producer who worked with Diane Sawyer, Dan Rather and Walter Cronkite for which she has the distinction of being an Emmy award winner.
Ms. Bosworth is a graduate of Cornell University and serves on many of its boards. She is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
