Many platforms and wirehouses require daily valuations and other operational conformity with the plumbing commonly associated with mutual funds, but the assets held by certain closed-end funds may not be traded daily. Lori Novak will discuss the issues sponsors are dealing with when valuing daily assets that do not trade daily, as well as other operational issues, such as board approved fair value procedures and benchmarking.
