We participated in two panels at the ICI Tax and Accounting Conference.
First, Jay Laurila spoke on the panel “ETF Revolution: Share Classes, Tax Efficiency, and Structural Implications.” He discussed the evolution of ETFs, including accounting, reporting and tax complexities, implications for NAV oversight, and what you need to know about compliance and operational readiness.
Next, Jay Laurila and James Kaiser led the thought leadership lunch “What’s In the (Custom) Basket? The Tax & Accounting Implications of Innovative ETF Strategies.” They discussed what really matters when you’re building, launching and managing ETFs designed for today’s investors as structures become more complex. Cohen & Co sponsored this event.
