Having spent much of his career leading businesses through growth and transformation, he understands firsthand the opportunities and challenges founders, CEOs and leadership teams face. His collaborative leadership style and practical approach help organizations navigate change, strengthen performance and build lasting value.

As partner in charge of advisory services, Brian leads the Office of the CFO, Transaction Services and Valuation teams. His experience includes more than 25 years leading and advising middle market organizations through periods of significant growth and transformation. As an entrepreneur, CEO and adviser throughout his career, he has worked alongside founders, management teams and private equity investors to accelerate growth, execute strategic acquisitions and navigate ownership transitions — helping organizations thrive. In leading the firm’s Advisory Practice, Brian is responsible for the strategy, growth and operational performance of the practice. He works closely with clients to improve business performance, execute strategic initiatives and prepare for the next stage of growth. Brian also works hand-in-hand with firm leadership to develop exceptional talent, strengthen advisory capabilities and deliver an outstanding client experience that reinforces Cohen & Co’s position as a top-tier adviser to middle market businesses and private equity investors.

Brian and his wife live in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and have three adult children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends at their lake house in Michigan, staying active, and cheering on the Chicago Bears and White Sox. Whether hosting family and friends for a tailgate or coaching youth sports, Brian enjoys bringing people together and helping others reach their full potential.
