Derek Zynn, CPA

Derek is passionate about providing the best possible experience for every client. He strives to understand all aspects of their businesses and works with his team to complete each engagement efficiently and effectively — holding the final product to the highest quality standards.

Derek’s areas of expertise include complex revenue recognition, complex equity structures, stock options, convertible debt arrangements and business acquisitions. He began his public accounting career in 2018, focusing on the technology and life science industry, while also gaining experience working with private equity, venture capital and manufacturing clients.

Derek resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Outside of work, he is an avid runner, who hopes to someday compete in the Boston Marathon! When he’s not running, Derek is either golfing, skiing or cheering for all three of Pittsburgh’s major sports teams. He also enjoys traveling as much as possible and trying different types of food.
