Marie began her public accounting career in 2002, gaining experience at both regional and national accounting firms, and specializes in providing assurance and advisory services to not-for-profit organizations. As lead for the firm’s not-for-profit services, Marie works with public charities, private foundations, organizations receiving government funding and other mission-driven entities, helping them navigate complex accounting, financial reporting and compliance matters. She has extensive experience performing audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and Uniform Guidance, advising clients on internal controls, accounting standard implementation, audit readiness and governance best practices. Marie is committed to helping organizations strengthen their financial operations, enhance transparency and maximize their impact in the communities they serve. Additionally, she works with privately held companies on audit and advisory engagements involving technical accounting, complex transactions, financial reporting and government funding compliance.
Outside the office, Marie enjoys unwinding with a good book, practicing yoga and spending time with her family. She and her husband have two children in college and one in high school, and much of their free time is spent cheering from the stands at swim meets across the country. Marie lives in Akron, Ohio.
