Mark’s passion for client service brings out his extroverted nature in spades. Curious about all things tax, he enjoys keeping up with the many details of ever-changing legislation. Mark is a true team player on each and every engagement, and also serves as a trusted mentor and resource for his colleagues.
Beginning his public accounting career in 1985, Mark also spent time in the private sector as CFO of an auto supplier. He uses his combined experience to advise closely held businesses and their owners in all areas of taxation, including tax return review, projections, consulting, strategic planning, transactions and other business transitions. A devoted student of tax law, Mark also has deep expertise regarding federal and state income tax issues. One area of his expertise includes Michigan’s flow-through entity tax, on which he advises businesses regarding the suitability of the election for their entities.
Mark and his wife have lived in Sterling Heights, Michigan, for almost 40 years. They have three adult children, and their entire family is involved in community theater programs throughout the Metro Detroit area. Mark also enjoys attending professional theater and concerts, especially new theater productions and classic rock bands. In addition to spending time with his two grandchildren, volunteering at various local charities and expanding his love for music, Mark is an avid traveler. His most memorable trip was his family’s vacation to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, which allowed him to reconnect with his entire family.
