Tom has a genuine appreciation for the learning process — from studying clients’ tax situations to better understanding the stories behind them. He firmly believes investing time to learn about clients is the best way he can, in turn, be equipped to educate them on the tax options available.
Beginning his career in public accounting in 1999, Tom specializes in providing tax consulting and compliance, and succession and estate planning services for high-net-worth individuals, trusts and families. Specifically, he advises clients on gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax matters during various transition phases and coordinating the trust administration.
Tom lives in Medina, Ohio, with his wife and four children. In addition to attending their kids’ sporting events and activities, he enjoys hiking, traveling, live music and playing the drums. Tom admits his dream job was to be a drummer on a late-night talk show, before getting some solid advice from his high school band director that he should pursue his other interest and become a CPA.
