Cohen & Co has completed its acquisition of Tassi and Company, effective today. The transaction enhances the firm’s national real estate service offering while also expanding the firm’s presence in the Chicago market.
All Tassi and Company’s professionals have joined the firm, including Founder Joe Tassi, Terri Nietzel and Gretchen Sampson who join the firm as partners. The team will remain in its current Deer Park, Illinois, office. The new office combined with Cohen & Co’s existing downtown Loop location make Chicago one of the firm’s largest geographic markets.
This latest acquisition is part of Cohen & Co’s overall growth strategy, which includes a January 2025 acquisition of Cleveland, Ohio, based Tax and Wealth Management, Inc. and a strategic growth investment by Lovell Minnick Partners in late 2024.
