Dave’s deep technical tax knowledge coupled with the instant rapport he builds with clients makes him one of their most sought-out advisers when large, complex projects are at stake.

As market leader of the firm’s Real Estate & Construction Group, Dave oversees the team’s vision and strategy. As a tax partner, he focuses on real estate and construction related tax issues, including structuring; planning; purchase and exit planning strategies; management incentive compensation structures, including LTIPs (Long-Term Incentive Plan); and promote structures. Dave works with clients in the commercial, retail, industrial and multifamily sectors, as well as REITs and private equity real estate funds. Integral in the national Tax Credits and Incentives Group, he also specializes in deal analysis, new markets tax credits, historic tax credits, renewable energy credits and incentives, Qualified Opportunity Zones and general business consulting for real estate clients.

Dave lives in Concord, Ohio, with his wife and four children. He enjoys going to concerts, rooting for Cleveland sports teams and long-distance running. Dave has participated in many 5Ks, half marathons and marathons, including Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon, Allianz Richmond Marathon and the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington D.C.
