His proactive nature compels him to ask the hard questions, truly listen to the answers and then help tailor effective solutions — often encompassing new approaches and strategies.
Beginning his public accounting career in 2012, Zach spent 10 years at a global firm, honing his skills in tax compliance for investment funds, tax technology and process improvement. He also served as a product manager for a leading investment management company. In his role today, Zach works with a variety of fund types, including alternative investment, mutual and exchange-traded (ETF) funds, as well as business development companies (BDCs). He specializes in partnership taxation and the allocation of taxable income and loss among partners; RIC qualification testing and excise tax distribution analysis; derivative and foreign currency transaction taxation; application of specialized tax rules, including hedging, wash sale, straddle and Section 1256 regimes; and taxation and reporting for PFICs and CFCs. Zach also has experience developing and implementing technology solutions.
Zach lives in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, with his wife and three children. Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis and exploring new coffee shops and local coffee roasters.
