Phil’s special interests include estate, gift and generation-skipping tax and maximizing the benefit of qualified retirement plans. He also deals with complex business structures and entities, while always keeping an eye on overlapping tax regimes to minimize total taxes paid. Phil has advised on family transfers of businesses that have saved his clients millions in estate taxes. He is also particularly knowledgeable in helping clients take advantage of research and development (R&D) and other tax credits. He frequently works with clients in the healthcare, services, manufacturing, and wholesale and distribution industries.
